Healing is in our midst. It is in the air we breathe, and it is in the rays of the sunrise that we see when our eyes first awaken in the morning.
I know we have heard the term that past proves future. I have another take on this one. The past does not determine our purpose or our future. We have the ability to embrace the trajectory of our destiny and destination. We can choose through our own personal decisions to own our future.
Why do I say this? This past Sunday I was reminded of something someone once said to me. I was told by my biological father that I would never finish anything or amount to anything. On Sunday morning, I heard my pastor say something different. He spoke to all of us in church on Sunday morning and said that we are something. We are children of God. We will have victory, and we will overcome.
For years I was battled being heartbroken because in the natural I found myself as an orphan. No father to claim me, and my mother being in Heaven. It was my personal decision to accept Jesus into my heart at four years of age in Sunday school that I believe brought me out captivity. My mother raised me to have a strong faith in God. She was gone when I was twelve. I found myself in places no child should ever be left behind. I endured things that people would rather believe never happened. I saw the face of evil that most will never admit exists. But God.
He saved me. He changed me. He brought healing to me. This is what America must believe in again. We must individually and corporately come before the Father in Heaven and believe He is who He says He is, and we should believe that He really does want something better for us then our current situation.
We must decide. Will we continue to preach the gospel of hell, negativity, and death?! Or will we Matt 6:33, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all of these things will be added unto you."?! Will we go into the secret place every day and seek the face of our Creator? Will we go into His presence with thanksgiving in our hearts and praise? Will we go before Him and ask Him for His strategies and His report?
We must look in the mirror and take personal responsibility and accountability. Maybe we did not individually make choices that landed our children and country where it is now. However, it is now up to us to fix it with God's strategy. Not the government's strategy and men’s broken traditions.
Just my Monday food for thought.
