Supreme Court to Hear Trump’s Presidential Immunity Claims

The U.S. Supreme Court plans to hear arguments on former President Donald Trump’s claims of presidential immunity. The court will assess the decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, which upheld U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan’s ruling that Trump is not immune from prosecution.

Scheduled for April 25, Trump v. United States marks the final day of oral arguments for the current term. This hearing follows Trump’s previous Supreme Court victory in the case Anderson v. Griswold from Colorado. In that unanimous decision, the court allowed Trump to stay on the Colorado ballot.
